- Connecting to the GearUP router software gives free “Standard Boost” permanently, with an optional VIP Boost subscription.
A free trial is offered, but you’re charged automatically on its last day unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends; subscriptions then renew automatically each billing cycle.

Will GearUP lower my ping in every game?
No tool can promise that. It helps most when lag comes from the route to the server. Test with the free trial.
Is it a VPN?
GearUP says it uses VPN technology to route your connection over the best path — enabling your device’s VPN permission is required for boosting to work, but GearUP states it does not use that permission to access personal data.
Does it work on consoles?
The site lists PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck, and offers a router for console and PC games.
Is there a free option?
The site offers a free trial, and Standard Boost is free permanently when using the GearUP router software.
Can I get a refund?
For the HYPEREV router, defective units can be refunded within 30 days of shipment; in the US, GearUP may refund, replace or upgrade the item and you pay return shipping, while outside the US GearUP refunds but doesn’t accept returns. Orders already shipped can’t be cancelled. Membership subscriptions have no blanket money-back guarantee; you avoid a charge by cancelling the free trial at least 24 hours before it ends.
